Agreement Terms
This agreement is entered into by Reisterstown Boarding Kennels, Inc., hereinafter referred to as RBK and signatories of this form below, hereinafter referred to as “Guest Owner” or “Customer”. A visit or "stay" at RBK includes boarding, grooming, daycare, or swimming services at which time the Guest is on company property. “Guest” refers to each or the “Pet” that will be visiting or staying at RBK.
1. Customer authorizes RBK to act on their behalf, and in Guest's best interest, by obtaining veterinary care, if RBK deems it necessary, for illness or injury that takes place during a stay or visit within the expenditure limits set by Customer. Customer accepts responsibility for any charges related to this medical care. Customer also authorizes RBK to utilize an alternative veterinarian in the event primary veterinarian is unavailable, or if RBK deems the travel time to primary veterinarian poses additional risks to the Guest. Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to obtaining medical care. Customer agrees to reimburse RBK for any additional fees for providing medical care, as well as any expenses incurred for unexpected care, transportation, or supplies. Customer releases RBK from all liability related to transportation, treatment, or expenses, resulting from any emergency or special care as determined by RBK.
2. RBK agrees to provide the services stated in its literature in a reliable, caring, and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the Customer expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against RBK , its employees or assigns, except those arising from proven negligence on RBK , its employees or assigns behalf.
3. Customer agrees that it is the Customer's responsibility to notify RBK of any Guest that has ever caused an injury to any human or other Guest. If a Guest has a history of biting or other aggressive behavior, RBK reserves the right to refuse service. Bites must be reported to the local authorities as provided by law. Customer will be responsible for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to RBK employees or other persons by the Guest. Customer agrees to pay all costs for any property damage by Guest during its stay. Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless RBK in the event of a claim by any person injured by the Guest.
4. Customer attests to the fact that all licenses and vaccinations required by the State of Maryland, the City in which they reside and/or the County of Baltimore or Baltimore City, and RBK, are current according to the law and will provide documented proof that such requirements have been met. The current list of required vaccines can be obtained at the front desk.
5. Customer authorizes this contract to be valid approval for future services so as to permit RBK to accept reservations for future stays and visits.
6. Customer understands that it is their responsibility to provide RBK with any special equipment or products required for handling and caring for Guest, including, but not limited to, medications, veterinarian prescribed foods, own foods, and special foods, as well as any associated instructions in the use or administration of said equipment or products. Customer acknowledges that in the case of medications there will be a per administration fee of $4 and that RBK’s associated “Guest Medication Instructions” document must be completed for each visit where medications are to be administered. Customers agrees to pay the per administration fee in any situation where the consumption of the provided medication is either a) medically necessary for the Guest’s health and/or b) RBK is required to confirm consumption, either at the instruction of the Customer or to ensure the Guest’s continued good health, regardless of how the medication has been provided.
7. RBK attests that all Customer information will be kept private and confidential. RBK highly respects our Customers entrusting us with the care of their loving pets. It is recommended that the Customer inform an emergency contact that RBK will be caring for their Guests during reserved visits and provide contact information of said emergency contact to RBK. RBK will not sell nor provide any collected Customer Information to third parties unless required by law.
8. RBK provides a cancellation policy that states if a scheduled session is canceled at least 24 hours in advance penalties will not be charged to the Customer. Failure to provide at least 24 hours notice may result in a late cancellation fee.
9. Customer agrees to pay all required fees at time of Check Out of Guest. RBK accepts cash, personal checks, and major credit cards. All returned checks will be subject to a $25 processing fee. Customer understands that a returned check may result in a requirement for future payments to be done in cash or major credit card.
10. Customer acknowledges the following if they wish for the Guest (dogs only) to take part in activities with other Guests, such as group playtimes or daycare:

That group play is not without risk to my pet, because some Guests may bite or injure each other while playing.

That it might take some time for Guests to become accustomed to group activities and RBK will use its discretion in determining socialization between Guests.

That Guests who are not regularly socialized do not necessarily know how to behave politely with other Guests. These Guests are at higher risk of incidents including, but not limited to, bites, fights, fear aggression, object guarding, behavior problems, and/or acting out.

That any behavior deemed dangerous or inappropriate by RBK may result in dismissal from the program.

That they hereby waive and release RBK, its employees, or assigns of any and all liability of any nature, for any injury or damage which their pet may suffer, including specifically, but not limited to, any injury or damage resulting from the action of any dog; and they expressly assume the risk of such damage or injury.
11. RBK reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time, at its sole discretion, in writing; likewise, Customer may terminate this contract at any time, in writing. Doing so, by either party, will nullify any existing stays and commitments.
